Tips for better Excel to CSV conversion
CSV is plain text — formatting is lost
Cell colors, fonts, bold, and merged cells are not preserved in CSV format. Only the raw data values are converted. If formatting matters, keep the Excel version too.
Commas in data are handled automatically
If your Excel cells contain commas, the values are automatically wrapped in quotes in the CSV output. This ensures your data imports correctly into other tools.
Use UTF-8 for international characters
The CSV output uses UTF-8 encoding, which supports international characters, accents, and special symbols. Most modern tools import UTF-8 CSV files correctly.
Only the first sheet is converted
